Watching the events unfold today on the cable news, radio, and the internet, this question came to mind after listening to pundits regarding the United States representatives meeting directly with Iran’s representative in a meeting over lunch today. Seems Iran has been building a secret underground facility to enrich uranium. I don’t think that any of us really wonder what their intent is: power! To be taken seriously and to give some orders to the world and the world jump! Something said by one of the pundits did catch my attention and made me wonder where this Iranian thing is going to lead. Basically, while we are spending months looking at and worrying about this new unfinished military facility, the other facility will continue to churn out more enriched uranium. Hmmm. He may have a point. The Iranian’s top negotiator was recorded bragging at a closed meeting in Iran, recently, how Iran had been sandbagging the West and drawing out the time so they could finish their work. I come back to my original question, do we feel safer now, under Obama?
The Russians and Iranians consider Obama a weak President. That makes for a very dangerous situation for America. The French President considers Obama a naive leader and was making fun of him after Obama’s first meeting with him in France. Obama heard about it and publicly said sarcastically, “I will try to do better.”
President Obama surprised the world recently when he threw our Eastern Eupropean friends under the bus, after they had stuck out their neck against Russia’s wishes; their neighbor they have a great deal of trepidation of since they have lived under its boot, when he – without any gain – did away with the defense shield in Europe. That doesn’t mean that we aren’t going to protect Europe – we are. The defense shield that was given up was the one that protected United States. Gulp! I guess it’s OK if Iran shoots future missels at us. Of course, we wont vote for President Obama again if he is President, but by then who cares?
I have no doubt that President Obama has very excellent advisors around him. That he has not personally spoken to his appointed leader in Afghanistan – not even once one-one – really makes me wonder where his heart is, though. I think I know where his head is but I am truly starting to wonder about something far more concerning about President Obama. What is in his inner heart? He continually apologies for the United States and then holds himself out as the hope for those he is apologizing to. This is very disturbing. Being President of the United Sates Of America is such a bigger office than what President Obama is making it out to be – bring it down to the level of “See what I can do!” or “I’m here to save you and us.” If you have been following him and what he says when standing in other lands, or before world groups, you get the picture.
I don’t feel safer under President Obama. In fact, I think the world sees us as a confused and weaker nation under President Obama and that can only invite some world leader to make some very dangerous assumptions about what they can and can't get away with in the world. Then American blood will be the price to correct the situation.
