It’s not news that CNN’s ratings are in the tank, so much so that even its sister network “Headline News” is beating its ratings. Lou Dobbs stands out from the other talking heads at CNN because he is a man on a mission, and has been relentlessly for years: Immigration. Illegal immigration is a real concern to Dobbs and he knows his stuff on the subject. Recently Dobbs brought to light that a bullet hit his home fifteen feet from his wife who was standing by the car in the driveway. Some have tried to downplay the incident because the bullet was fired from some distance, it bounced off his home: Dobbs is taking a far more serious view of the incident. I guess you have to have a bullet twang past your head and hit your home to bring things into focus. It is rather easy to be an armchair pundit and just write it off as a stray bullet, which no one believes – especially Dobbs and his wife, who was in real danger.
Dobbs is quoted saying: “If anybody thinks we’re not engaged in a battle for the soul of this country right now, you’re sorely mistaken,” on his website,
It’s only natural that he has ticked a lot of people off. who believe he should stop picking on young Latinos who just want to come here illegal to work. (Seems we have a lot of Gangs in L.A. who just didn’t come here to work), as well as bankrupt hospitals in Los Angeles that have been driven into financial ruin by illegal’s clogging the emergency rooms. I don’t begrudge anyone getting help, but I do believe that if we don’t have an orderly enforced system our nation is at risk, as Dobbs has iterated many times over the past years.
Dobbs seems to have ruffled some feathers, which would make him the hero of many Americans, such as: The National Council of La Raza and the Southern Poverty Law Center. They have started a project called:”Drop Dobbs” to put the heat on CNN advertisers. Interestingly, the rumor is that Fox Business News channel is secretly in negotiations with Dobbs to get him over to Fox where he would fit in much better than at CNN where he must fell like a rose in a thorn patch. I would imagine all he gets at CNN is the point of those thorns. He hasn’t made a commitment publicly but a lot of Fox Viewers who are aware of Dobbs like him and hope he does come to Fox.
Dobbs would be a big addition to the Fox Business Network, who recently picked up Imus in the morning; which I know because my body wakes up to watch Imus in the morning on Fox Business Channel, whether I want to or not. After I saw what he and his wife do for the children they bring to their ranch, nobody can say anything bad about Imus to me. He may be one character on the radio, but you can see his true heart when he is working with sick and dying children who have never been out of the city to a working ranch in their life. Imus walks the talk and his actions have my respect.
Rupert is a smart business man. He has beautiful women on his shows and handsome-smart people all around. They are likeable and they are good at what they do. Rounding out the sows with Dobbs and Imus would be a like nailing the coffin lid closed on some of the other cable news networks, and they probably know it by their teaming up with Obama in a secret meeting to neuter Fox News. It isn’t working, as can be seen by a poll by the liberal broadcasting network National Public Radio. They put up a poll with the following questions:

• The White house on this one; fox News isn’t “fair and balanced.”
• Fox news on this one; it asks questions others don’t and the White House should be able to handle them.
• Neither side. There both trying to play this “feud” to their advantage.
Fox News is kicking the White House’s butt. Currently the vote is as Oct 31st.
- White House good guys: 20% 182,840 Votes
- Fox News good guys 79% 737,766 Votes
- Neither are good guys 1% 14,579 Votes
- Total Votes = 935,184 Votes
The White Hose will be taking up immigration next year, and we have some real problems with our economy in the sad shape it is in. Dobbs pointed out that the White House says it saved 600,000 jobs last month. This is hard to prove, but this is the new way of accounting in the White House, pulling numbers out of the air that don't mean anything as to how many people were put back to work.
Dobbs points out that 600,000 the White House says it Saved (even though close to that many did lose their jobs last month), in the same time period the United States Immigration Department let in legally 1,600,000 people. Now if you add that up it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to say there is something wrong. Unfortunately, unions want these people here for membership; Democrats want them in as future voters and to gain power; business owners want them in for cheap labor, and the American Taxpayer is the one that shoulders it all eventually. Remember, this is just the legal immigrants. Far more came in illegally and will continue to until we are bankrupt as a nation.
The Progressives are running the Government via Unions, and it is slipping away from the American people into what I call a “Political Class” that votes against the American taxpayer. The Political Class joins the unions (which have an open door to the White House in that the head of the public employees union, SEIU, was the key visitor to the White House with the most visits of 23 – far more than anyone else - during a several month period of time the White House was just forced to release under Freedom of Information Act.
Keep an eye out for Dobbs decision to move to Fox. He would be a big champion there with a much bigger soapbox to get the word out on the immigration problems in America. CNN has been liberal for years trying to keep a middle-left-news stance; who really wants to listen to them? You typically only get the liberal slant, you have to turn onto Fox News to hear both sides and know what really is going on.
Dobbs is the only draw on the entire CNN network now that really is a more to the middle force, and many are now calling for his ouster from CNN with a new campaign to get him fired. Hopefully he will jump the CNN-sinking ship and move over to Fox where he will be an instant success and appreciated like never before. His voice is important now because behind the scenes the President and Congress are working on his immigration bill they are going cram down our throats, like everything else. It will be one page and state:
Everyone is a citizen, now. No illegal’s in the Government Health Care! Now sense everyone is legal, I did not lie, Joe!
