German Chancellor Angela Merkel has politely slammed the U.S. for pretty much coming up with a dollar short and a day late on Climate Change commitments.

"I believe this Copenhagen conference is the primary touchstone for whether we will succeed in settling a new path of global development, or sustainability," Merket told lawmakers in Berlin before heading off to Copenhagen.  Merkel particularly singled out the United States as the culprit for wanting more from.  4%  offer by the United States to cut 4% from 1990 levels is not ambitious enough," Merkel said.

The EU has pledged a 20% emissions cut that could increase to 30% cut of other developed nations also make far-reaching pledges, but these are about as worthless as the paper they will be written on.  Remember the Oil For Food program and how the insiders at the United Nations got rich off the West?  Now we have Hillary Clinton jumping on the bandwagon to give poor countries $100 billion over the next 10 years and the world wants a big hunk of that to come from - you guessed it: AMERICA!  We make such an easy punching bag for Europe and Asia, if for no other reason we have no one at the Federal level of our Government to defend America's interest.  Evidently our Administration is as much European as the European's.

First, we can agree to do anything but:  1)  Transparency is a must.  China wants everything to go ahead as planned but no checking of their emissions.  Let's see, China wants America to put in a big hunk of the $100 billion (you and I are America by-the-way) and the want US to send them MONEY to help THEM!  You got it.  They want part of the $100 Billion; and this is the real wild part of it:  We must Borrow The Money From Them to Give Them!

It's time for a revolution in the streets of America.  Time will tell but we are moving into a state that the Federal Government may be losing its credibility with the people.  In World War II at Arnhem there was a bridge to far.  If you saw the movie you may remember that British were parachuted behind enemy lines to hold the bridge because it was the only major route into Germany for the Allies.  What happened was they Allies could not get to them in time, though they held out against tremendous odds, including the fact that there just happened to be German Panzer nearby that no one counted on.

America is is being pushed to defend a bride to far.  To Markel I say, "Sure, we can to more.  What do you say we move our troops off German  soil and stop sending billions of dollars to protect the German  people while you modernized your plants after World War II and our cities and plants have fallen into a get to status?"  Tell your people to stop bitching and whining every time we talk about closing a base.  It is time to close most all bases and bring our money and our people home.  Then we will be on the same footing as the rest of the world.  Japan has gotten a free ride and Europe has gotten a free ride.  They can throw stones because they have not had to carry the heavy rocks of a military industrial complex.  Enough!

To America I say have an up-to-date atomic deterrent and let Europe and Asia be at peace.  Then, we in America can get back to doing what we do best - Solving most of the worlds problems, or paying for them.

We have been asked to defend a bridge too far.  Not this time.

It's time to trade in the guns for butter.  Europe is all grown up.  They can take care of their own problems now.
