2nd Democrat Senator Announces Retirement: Good Bye Sen. Dodd :O

Dropping Like Flies:  Senator Dodd announces he is retiring and not running for reelection.  I only wonder what he was promised by President Obama.  You can be assured that there are many things discussed behind closed doors on the Health Care Reform because you don't cram a bill down the American public's throat that they don't want without some casualties.  Dodd lost favor withe the public when it was leaned that he was receiving sweetheart mortgage loan deals from the very people he had a direct impact in legislating over as a Senator.  Regardless of what he received, the perceptional with the public was enough to cause him heartburn and I have no doubt that pollsters and the local democratic party, are telling him they would have to put their money on a lame horse, if he ran again.  It isn't just Dodd that makes the decisions, he must have the support of his local party and he doesn't.  The have been fretting in the press that Dodd is in trouble and they want to do all they can to hang on to his seat for the Democrats.  Its all about power, the heck with standing with your man - that is no longer worth much anymore.

The announcement of Dodd, today, is kind of a stunner to me, and it must be worrisome to the President.  I live in California and we have some Liberals that are just hard to stomach, from this part of the country. I tell friends the money is a fungible, one part is easily replaceable with another part- like grain in a silo, another fungible.  My goal is to help raise money across the nation for anyone and everyone that runs against Senator Harry Reid of Nevada.  I can no longer stomach him, Senator (Don't call me Mam) Boxer - another screaming Progressive (Socialist?), and Senator Diane Feinstein.

Good by Senator Dodd.  I for one will not miss you and your brand of privileged service.  I just hope President Obama's administration did not give you some secret back-room deal.  Please go and stay gone!  America wants new people running our country and almost the entire ilk there now, gone!

That's two Democrat Senators that have announced they are retiring in the past 24 hours.  Things are looking up for America but regardless, we will put our house (and Senate) in order starting in November.  You can count on it.

  1. He was forced out by President Obama.  Why?  The Democratic Party made the determination that he could not win!  The Democratic tht is stepping in to run in his place has a much better chance to win over the Republican.  After 30 years - the Democrats decided he was too big a risk.  They were smart to do this becaue he would have lost and nothing is guaranteed for his succesor Democrat.  People are very angry and they don't want one party ruling any longer.  We saw the results of that in the recent past.  Now the goal will be to keep them evenly divided so they can do as little harm as possible because they sure don't seem to do much good anymore.
